A Selection of People Moves in the HR Function in 2024

The Wilton & Bain People & Culture practice have explored the UK, US, EMEA and APAC for significant people moves within the HR function so far in 2024. It is great to see a number of promotions as well as external hires at Chief People Officer level and in the People Leadership team including Talent, Reward and DE&I.

Aimee Hoyt has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Palo Alto Networks. She joins the business from Illumina where she was Chief People Officer.

Andrew Mulder has joined Nudge as People Director. He was previously Head of People at MVF.

Marriott International have hired Ann-Marie Wood as Senior Director, Talent Acquisition. She joins from Meta where she was the Director of Recruiting for EMEA & APAC.

Aoife Glassman has joined Sainsbury’s as their Interim Director of Reward. She was previously Director of Reward & People Operations at British Airways.

Asha Musoni has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer at CBI. Musoni joins the business lobbying group from Ofcom, where she was Head of People Strategy.

Atlassian have promoted Avani Prabhakar to Chief People Officer.

Merck have hired Betty Larson as EVP, Chief HR Officer. Larson joins from GE Healthcare, where she most recently served as Chief People Officer.

Carol Sommerville has joined Compass Group UK & Ireland as Chief People Officer. Sommerville joins the contract catering giant from luxury pre-owned watch business Watchfinder, where she was Global HR Director.

Cheryl Bosi has joined Flutter Entertainment as Chief People Officer for the UK & Ireland. She was previously Head of HR for HSBC UK.

Claire Bailiss has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Sportingtech. She joins the business from GAN where she was the European HR Director.

Daniel Kasmir has joined PE firm Triton Partners as Co Head Leadership and Culture. He was previously Chief People & Procurement Officer at TalkTalk.

Darktrace has appointed David Smith as Chief People Officer. David joins from 10x Banking where he held the role of Chief People Officer.

Dee Reandi has been promoted to Head of Talent Acquisition and Attraction at Smiths Group.

Walgreens Boots Alliance have appointed Elizabeth Burger as Chief HR Officer. She was previously Chief HR Officer at Flowserve.

Emma Rose has joined Convatec as Chief People Officer. She was previously the Chief People Officer at Travis Perkins.

Brunswick Group has appointed Fabiola Williams as its new Partner and Group Head of Talent and HR, effective 10^th May. Fabiola joins from McArthurGlen Group, where she was Chief People Officer.

Online marketplace GetYourGuide has appointed Genevieve Vancutsem-Zednik as its new Chief People Officer. Genevieve was previously the Chief People Officer for Europe & Asia at Wayfair.

Bravura Solutions has hired Gillian Davie as Chief People Officer based in Sydney. She was previously People & Culture Director for AMP Australia.

Henrik Ranzau Hansen has joined Haleon as Global Head of People Services & HR Transformation following 9 years at Philips in Global HR Services & Solutions roles.

Gousto have hired James Brewin to lead the Talent Acquisition team. He previously led the Global R&D Talent Attraction team at Snyk.

Jennifer Tippin has moved from the Group Chief People & Transformation Officer role into the Group Chief Operating Officer role at Natwest.

Jig Ramji has joined Aviva as Chief Talent Officer. He was previously Chief Talent Officer at LSEG.

Josephine Hall has joined Avalere Health from Ofcom as Head of Global People Business Partnering.

Julie Lowe has moved to Easyjet as Head of Talent Acquisition from Sky where she was Head of Operating Model & Org Design.

Kat Hart has been appointed as Head of Talent Acquisition for GlobalData Plc. She was previously Head of Talent Acquisition at Thoughtworks.

Accolade has promoted Kelsi McDonald Harris to Chief People Officer. She was previously Vice President for Strategy & Planning.

Ipsos has appointed Kerri-Ann O’Neill as its new Chief People Officer for the UK&I. Kerri was previously People & Transformation Director at Ofcom.

Kirsty Adams has joined Compass Group UK&I as Director – Talent, L&D and ED&I. She was previously Chief People & Culture Officer at Resource Solutions.

Personio has hired Lenke Taylor as Chief People Officer. She joins from Level where she led People & Business.

Flutter Entertainment have promoted Lisa Sewell to Group Chief People Officer.

Liz Cook has been appointed as Interim Chief People Officer at Flock. She was previously Chief People Officer at Demica.

Walmart have promoted Lorraine Stomski to be their first ever Chief Talent Officer.

Flutter have hired Louise Parsons as Group People Services Director. She previously led People Operations, Technology & Analytics at Virgin Media O2.

Lucy Robbins has been appointed as the UK Civil Aviation Authority’s new Director of People and Culture. Lucy joins from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Unilever has announced the appointment of Mairead Nayager as its new Chief People Officer. She will join the business on 1^st June. She is currently Chief HR Officer at Haleon. She previously served as CHRO of Diageo between 2015 and 2022.

The Stepstone Group have hired Nicola Weatherhead from Google to lead Global People Operations and Talent Acquisition.

Rachel Osikoya joined Lloyds Banking Group as Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She previously led the DE&I function at LSEG.

Rebecca Grattan has joined Viasat as Chief People & Culture Officer. She was most recently Chief People Officer at PageGroup.

Regina Lind has joined Dentsu as Chief Talent Officer. She was previously SVP HR at Paramount.

Quilvest Capital Partners has hired Richard Berke as its Global Head of HR. Richard joins from Pantheon Ventures where he was Principal, Global HR.

Aptia has appointed Roopa Abraham Kochhar as Chief People Officer from Allianz.

Rory Litherland has been appointed as Global Head of Organisational Effectiveness at Haleon. He has previously held senior HR leadership roles in organisations such as Pandora and 21^st Century Fox.

Stephen Lochhead has joined Sainsbury’s as Group Head of Talent Capability & Development. He previously led the Global Talent Acquisition function at Expedia.

Terence Vieyra has been appointed as Senior Vice President, People & Culture at RAPP. He joins from Kobalt Music where he was Senior Vice President, Global People & Culture.
