Wells Fargo, a top-five US bank, spent five years building AI and data leadership across the business, from model development through to enterprise AI product strategy.
BACKGROUND
Beginning in 2019, Wells Fargo moved to embed AI capability across multiple functions, rather than centralising it in one team, spanning model development, enterprise product strategy, data science, R&D innovation, and digital analytics & insights.
OBJECTIVE
Build senior AI and data leadership at pace across the business, appointing leaders able to shape AI strategy, develop enterprise AI products, and translate data into insight across the bank’s functions.
OUR ROLE
Between 2019 and 2024, Wilton & Bain delivered nine AI and data leadership hires for Wells Fargo, including AI Model Development Lead, Head of AI, AI Enterprise Product & Strategy Leader, and Data Science Leader.
OUTCOME
A multi-year track record as a trusted delivery partner for AI leadership at one of the largest US banks, spanning strategy, product, and technical roles.
