“It was a pleasure to be invited to Maggie Semple’s inaugural ladies’ breakfast seminar at The Ivy in December. Most of us are used to networking amongst people broadly within our professional sphere, but rarely have I been at an event with people from so many different walks of life: varying age groups and professions ranging from barristers to dancers, from an MP to technologists, from talent professionals to, a personal highlight for me, Sue MacGregor of Radio 4 fame.
Maggie brought this diverse group together to discuss ‘What will women be talking about in 2019’? alongside two notable panellists: ‘tech titan’ Jacqueline de Rojas, President of techUK and the chair of the Digital Leaders board premised on an illustrious career in technology; and Ria Hebden, TV presenter and broadcaster whose passion champions diversity on and off our screens. The discussion was wide-ranging but at its heart focused on technology, diversity and inclusion.”
